More than 50 people have been killed in Tijuana in the past week, amid escalating gang violence in that city. Some of the bodies were decapitated, and several others showed signs of being tortured.

Also, yesterday the mayor of Ixtapan de la Sal, a tourist city near Mexico city, was shot. More than 3000 people have been killed in drug related violence in Mexico this year.
