Lydia Cacho, an activist against child sex trafficking, presented an accusation of attempted homicide before Mexico's Attorney General yesterday. Mario Marín Torres, governor of Puebla, and businessman Jean Succar Kuri, previously accused of running a child pornography and prostitution ring, were among those named in the accusation. Cacho was in a car accident on Monday, and investigation showed that the wheels had been tampered with.
Jean Succar Kuri had previously threatened to kill Lydia Cacho, and Mario Marín Torres has supposedly been harrasing witnesses in a court case in which Cacho is involved.
