On April 27, 2007 we held our first meeting in a conference room at the Best Western Americana Inn in San Ysidro, CA, USA. Four speakers spoke on various issues, with comments and questions from the audience. Topics included plans and organization of the group, legal and illegal immigration, polluted waterways in Baja California, real estate fraud in Baja California, among other things.
The result of this meeting was to plan the organization of the International Border Solutions Task Force. The name of the organization was agreed upon by those present, and suggestions were made toward the creation of "subgroups" to focus on specific projects. Plans for the next meeting were made, but not finalized. The next meeting will occur at an undisclosed time and location. |
