This is just a letter from our organization. We would like to ask the American people the question: how are we ever going to stop the decay of our country? It is still strong; how can we keep it that way? As we see all the terrible things happening around the world because of drugs, we realize that strict laws and law enforcement spending has not been sufficient to quell the tide of organized trafficking. Additional ideas and approaches to this problem are clearly necessary. Is it possible to think that we, within our family organizations, can be more efficient than law enforcement? I know that within my family, as I was growing up, I was told and shown the effects of alcohol, cigarrette smoking, and illegal drugs. I would never do that because I have personally seen the effects of it as a child. Have we, as parents, neglected to show our children with love why we do not do drugs? |
